But when you learn to see David as a “type and shadow” of Jesus, the light of the gospel shines forth in his story—and enlightens yours as well.

-Experience Jesus in the lows–and highs–in your life.

-Understand typology and why we should use it as we study God’s Word.

-Discuss David’s role as king and how key events in his life signify our need for Jesus Christ and point to Christ’s fulfillment through His saving work.
